Based in Liverpool, Merseyside, The Bentley Operatic Society performs mostly (but not exclusively) the operettas of  Gilbert and Sullivan and is now the only Society in the City which presents the pair’s work.  Founded exactly one hundred years ago (this is our CENTENARY YEAR), apart from the war years The Bentley has produced  a fully-staged show every year since. Our venue for many years was The Neptune Theatre in the city centre but, following its closure, we have made our home the newly-built, state-of-the-art Brindley Theatre in nearby Runcorn, which provides a level of comfort, ease of access and parking that is a delight for both audience and performers.  We also give a number of Concerts in Spring/Summer for the benefit of various local charities and community groups.

In addition, The Bentley gives a number of Concerts in Spring/Summer for the benefit of various local charities and community groups.

We rehearse every Tuesday from the beginning of September (8 till 10pm) at Oakvale United Reform Church, Edge Lane Drive,Liverpool, L14 4AD.
